Chapter 7: Object-Oriented Programming in Java

Note: this page applies to the now-obsolete first edition of the book. For the second edition, please see http://www.corewebprogramming.com.

This chapter of Core Web Programming (pages 248-297) explains the basics of object-oriented programming as implemented in Java. Discussion also includes explanations of javadoc, packages, and using the CLASSPATH. If you are new to object-oriented programming, you may want to look at some of the more basic Java tutorials that cover object-oriented programming in more depth than does CWP.
